March

Monday morning, we took down 'unscripted', our first show. It seems like yesterday we were scrambling to have everything ready for the opening. But by monday afternoon, we had a clean canvas again, ready for the next exhibit, feeling the energy and promise of the next great adventure.
One last look, as  'unscripted' comes down.

Today Lisa Barthelson, the mixed media artist whose print installation, 'family debris series,' will be on view in the gallery beginning Friday March 4th, arrived with a roomful of monoprints. She and fellow artist Carrie Crane immediately set to work unpacking, arranging, measuring and hanging the installation. Virginia Fitzgerald, who will exhibit some of her pieces from 'the dress project',  brought one of her dresses and installed it alongside Lisa's prints. Seeing the new work fill the space with a completely new aesthetic and energy was really exciting; seeing the two artists together in the gallery, their work complementing one another's so well, was even more gratifying.
